Where are we going?

Now that we have identified and reflected on where we're from
and how those influences have impacted the development
of our perceptions, beliefs and behaviors, consider:

What prior knowledge do you have of the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, actions, and events that you read about in the "Where I'm From" poems?
How does that inform your perceptions of the authors writing the poems?

How can personal and social associations aid or limit
our understandings of one another?

What access are you granted or denied
based on those associations?

Will your awareness of these associations impact your interactions with others?

How could you further explore these issues
with your classmates and in visual art projects?
